Who We Are

Community Action Human Resources Agency (CAHRA) is a private, non-profit corporation providing for the identified needs of people and communities in Pinal County.

CAHRA builds firm foundations in partnerships with communities by stimulating family cohesiveness and self-reliance.

What We Do

  • Utility and rental assistance including motel nights for those who meet the HUD definition of homelessness.
  • CAHRA operates the Santa Cruz Valley food pantry that help support those that are food insecure are the distribution emergency food, produce, senior food boxes and food boxes for families affected by COVID-19. The food pantry has been in operation for over 40 years and under CAHRA for the past 22 years.
  • Assistance to homeowners include home repair, appliance and utility systems repairs and replacement, weatherization accessibility improvements for disabled individuals. The most important goal is to help limited individuals to become self-sufficient by giving them the proper tools including assistance with employment, job readiness, taking care of their health issues and any other barriers they may have.  
  • CAHRA has an excellent client database and accounting software that tracks all the information necessary to successfully submit required reports. Monitoring reviews and financial audits have been clean and have been accepted by funders.
  • Diaper program that provides diapers and incontinent products to children and adults.
